Part I Release
It’s been a week now since the release of Forlorn Part I. After so many long hours it was such a joy to finally have something to show for it. I had hoped a few people might stumble upon the film and enjoy it, but I must say that I did not anticipate the response the first episode received. I am absolutely blown away by volume of extraordinarily encouraging words and engagement, far exceeding even my most ambitious expectations. I sincerely thank everyone who took the time out of their day to watch this thing I’ve been working on. It truly means the world to me.
I was fortunate enough for the film to have been featured in a couple of different places, most notably theawesomer.com, which is I website I’ve been frequenting since my college days. Some of the best animated shorts I have ever seen have been featured on that website, and I consider it quite an honor to be there as well. The reception of the first episode made me realize I needed to step up my social media game. I’ve never been one for social media, but I realized nobody is going to read this blog unless they know I’m posting in it, and I would be crazy to expect people to visit this webpage as part of a regular rotation. So I created the official project twitter account as a way to project the project. So if you’re reading this and you have a twitter account and you’d like to know when I post an update, please feel free to follow me.
It’s still a long road ahead. Part II is well on its way, and that episode is by far the easiest out of all the parts. At the pace things are progressing, I anticipate that episode releasing in the early fall. Expect to see an update going more in depth on that in the coming days. Until then!
